Gone too soon, Dr.Joyce Laboso

By ONESMUS

It has taken quite a long to come to terms with this fact that Her Excellency Dr. Joyce Laboso just left us that way. Memories making it hard.

You were strong. Strong indeed. We never expected this to happen. We thought it was just check up.

But you were happy every time.

Screenshot (62)

For sure this happened at time when she was ready to deliver her promises to Bomet residents.

You were referred as mama. Yes you had motherly love. You touched many souls. We shall meet you. You were unique indeed.

Cancer, where are you taking her at this age?

We shall meet in the shore of the beautiful by and by.

Fare thee well mama.

Funny ICT SUPERVISORS questions in forthcoming census

Read more by Onesmus

As short term period KNBS staff are being employed, interviews are carried out across the country. Same questions same time.

As for computer gurus applied for these ICT supervisors positions, they met with funny and unexpected questions.

Most were expecting technical questions related to technology ,but they were shocked to be asked the following:

Find circumference of half circle whose radius is 7cm. Take pie to be 22/7. (3marks) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Basically, they were expecting to use terms such as 4G network Databases among others.

Good luck.

My final hope for beloved country Kenya. This is my homeland, najivunia kuwa Mkenya .

By sunshine by rain I still hope for better home.Despite everything being paralyzed right now, from universities to hospital, tools down.Demanding for implementation of collective bargaining agreements (CBA) agreed sometimes back.Anyway, I never attended any of the meetings so I might not understand the contents fully.

My hope after the 29 days,as from tonight,is that there will be no more going to India for specialized treatment or No more governor going to South Africa for elastoplast, let previous incident be the last one.Though, I heard that the governor who went abroad for specialized treatment of teargas canister injury , his county doctors are not in strike. But ironically, no elastoplast

My hope is that the law shall, since it should but…,cut across and both sides. Not only right fighters but also those corrupt fellows. I expect more prisoners, the corruption cartels as from NYS to Health ministry.

My last hope is that all diseases be mild for the next 29 days,if at all we must be ill.Homa tu,for our body defense can tackle them.

Meanwhile to Kwale county residents and fellow Kenyans, Senator Boy Juma Boy gone too soon.RIP

Should really cattle rustling be a such threat?

Read more by ONESMUS

What is happening in Kerio valley is just like a movie. Not just a movie, horror one.It really demean Kenya.

Cattle rustling? How does this really sound. If security agencies cannot curb cattle rustlers then we are heading nowhere.

See now schools shutdown.National examination is just fortnight, then who cares? What is the future of these kids?

Its quite unfortunate this is still a threat to Kenya if school can be shutdown.Remember that traditionally  pen is  spear while book is the shield.Look at these communities, they have understood this literally.

If this continues, then future of people of Kerio valley is unknown.See this sadness

Leadership has taken it parsimonious.

It is too much bad especially at this time and age.Disarmament is the only solution here.Firearms!! Using firearms to raid cattle is really awkward, it implies a lot.Recklessness.

Condemning it on social media doesn’t help at all.

COLLEGE STUDENTS MUST LEARN HOW TO LOVE AND RELATE.

Read more by ONESMUS

Yes, they must learn on love and relationship matters apart from pursuing  their careers otherwise it will be soon threat.Deaths due to love triangles are arising.

=>Someone commits suicide because he/she is booted.
=>Another one stabs fellow student,Moi university incident , for talking closely and for long time in a manner that suggests…I don’t know. Then i wonder how this surely make one to take away his life.Anyway it is lack of knowledge on love and relationship matters
=>Yet another go drinking in the name of relieving stress. Several cases in most colleges.

Only three days after this post this happens in Maasai Mara University

Love is real.I believe in it.We must appreciate it .College students you must learn how to handle it or else it will make you suffer ,both psychologically and physically. Its unnecessary suffer anyway.

Simple
Take time to learn on love matters.Journals.Periodicals.Friends.

If at all “university marriage” is a must , college student get me clearly:
*people get married and divorce peacefully.
In fact that marriage union ,most, are “till semester do us part”.Then why force death to do you part?

ONESMUSSYTEM knows very well that convincing intellectual is hard but take this positively.
Come on intellectuals and rethink on love and relationship matters.

2015 KCSE CANDIDATES, EXPECT THE BEST BUT BE READY FOR THE WORST.

By ONESMUS

Results of your either smartwork or lazy work will be out.For failure, blame no one.Oh no blame yourself. For success, thank everyone who may be have been concerned in one way or another.Mostly thank your self discipline in your classwork.
To me, im much worried about the results to be announced bearing the rate at which  irregularities were reported.Thank God the KNEC officials promised to handle it professionally. But i dont know which proffesional way they meant.Anyway, students expect the best but also be psychologically ready for the worst.Anything can happen.Im not prophet of doom.Remember the rate at which 2015 KCPE leaked. In fact double the previous year.A big worry.
My friends, we are in Kenya where academic determines alot.Grade E and grade A move in different directions after exam release. Get your A move in this direction, get E move in that direction.Even walking styles differ.Friends differ.Future is determined for most here.
This is not the end of the road.It is just turning point. The road is still long.Grade A is not everything also. It is just the maximum marks we can attain.A-,B+,B,B-,C+,C, are also good grades depending on the learning environment.Grade E is nothing to talk about.
Otherwise,
Celebrate your marks, it is you who did.Unless it is not your work.

Governor Rasanga, respect presidency

By ONESMUS
Politics is politics.
Respect is free. Patriotism is not begged for, bwana governor.

“We only need to hang our portraits as governors
and that of Raila in our offices. We don’t need the
other one,” he said, adding that only courageous
people can do what he had done in Siaya.

This is being unpatriotic.Total unpatriotism of highest order.
Well, if your words represent stand of opposition,CORD,then  vaying for presidency sounds akward.
Go ahead and remove all potraits of retired presidents on our currency and replace with that of Hon.Raila.If what you uttered you think is right.
Leave us alone.
Respect for presidency is what we as patriotic Kenyans not mere sycophants of your sort stand for.
If you really fight for democracy, remember to fight for respect to motherland also. I wonder when will you respect Kenya.
By the way, we know political survival ways and tactics of every Kenyan politician. They go to podium and show that he is couragous enough by talking ill of their opponents especially in their presence. Do you remember hii pesa si ya mamako incident? Others go and snatch their opponents microphone. This is common.Whereas others go dancing towards podium to have that attention of the crowd.Good for them to have that attention of voter. But to you, Rasanga, that is not political survival,it is actually tearing Kenya.
So you do unpatriotic opposition? I guess. Unfortunate.
Let me remind you that presidency, national anthem, national flag and national languages are symbols of unity in Kenya. So joking with them is joking with Kenya.

Your death is never payable. Indeed you are our heroes. My heroes.
The struggle you struggle with the inhuman and sadistic terrorists is never imaginable. My tribute to you people.
The courage you had to face bombers deserve more than guard of honour.Statutes and monuments may be raised for rememberance but sincerely you will never be forgetten.

The most addictive game, betting

You can read more by this author Onesmus

=>Sportpesa.com
=>Betway.com
=>Elitebet.com
These are just few betting sites where real gamblers(youths, fathers and mothers) stake their money on games especially football.See these options among many others:
1.Home win.
2.Draw a.k.a X
3.Away win.
4.Both teams to score a.k.a GG.
5.Half time predictions.
6.Scorer
Okey, according to gamblers among the above options there are sure ones .A gambler can convince you to place a stake by simply telling you that game is sure , very sure. The gambler can go ahead to convince you to stake the highest stake. On seeing possible win of amount you stake, that is the beginning of your daydreaming of money.Leave alone winning the stake.Real addiction more than alcohol, because alcohol has been said the most addictive.Real gamblers WhataApp groups for better analysis of games prior kick off has been created among different gamblers.
Losing consecutive stakes is also another trigger to betting addiction. To recover “lost” money.Someone, hustler can risk the little he/she has to this game called betting. You can end up knowing several clubs by names only that you vow not to ever bet for, just because of letting you down / denying you some good money.
Good fact about this is that you can lose severally but recover all through one stake.Funny fact is that most gamblers lose good money through one game.Ghai!!!! Here, if wishes were horses then….Regrets such as: I knew it this will let me down…Nkt this was the game i doubted most….Oh this was the game i was placing last…oh someone told me to place this….oh…oh…My friend, betting involves two options win or lose. Period. So forget regrets & afterthinks and try another bet.
Then this grand bet, jackpot.A dream of all gamblers. To win millions of money using say hundred.Actually it is possible through correct predictions of some selected games,of course difficult ones.

To avoid unneccesary stress, current football betting requires money.Got it? Large amount, that is.

Gamblers, all the best in your legal way of surviving but consider these two betting tips:
!!!Legue position.(Posibilities of happenings )
!!!Odds given.(Remember these sites are looking for money also so dont be much money oriented )
Bet wisely.Do not bet into losing mind state, got it?
All the best gamblers

Lively talent of teachings through music that she taught on every aspect of life. She could sing beyond tribe. Her songs were hits among the Kalenjin community.Through her volumes of tracks, you learn one or two in your life. She had “manhood” in her songs, powerful and courageous words. She,Diana Chemutai aka Chelele, did perfectly love songs through love world of beats & moods and convincingly more on some gospel tracks. She is remembered by her advice to churches to warn young generation. The late saved some souls through her gospel tracks. On family matters she brought some truth and facts concerning the same. She sang as a mother.A mother to twins. Pioneer of  south African beats way of singing, musiki bila waya.Salute for this.Actually she was full of courage. She tackled life problems well through her powerful songs.Creativity of highest level in this field of music is lost.

Microbiologist and biochemists, have those hard terms and names of microorganism in your finger tips.Understand every behaviour of any microorganism.Master all processes very clearly.Do not cram.Cramming those processes and terms is like diving into a deep swimming pool when you only know how to swim in a shallow one.I know you know the consequences of that. Our well being, as long as we live will depend on you people,of course after God care.
Teachers, take this career whole heartedly because you are the pillars of the society. It is you who are the turning point of our children.Though this is most challenging career in Kenya, it is also the most important one.So weigh properly.Remember the consequences of the just one month teachers strike; a clear indication of your importance.

Economists, interpret those graphs for the better of us all.Predict and analyse activities that lead us to comfortable economy.Understand every currency value and compare for us properly. You can drive Kenya into economy stable state only if you implement you great economic thoughts. It is you economist who will ensure that we enjoy our sweats lest we will be working harder but enjoying very less.

These two words that soon will be meaningless to our leaders;hate speech and corruption.

Read more by this author Onesmus
These two different but common words are soon going to be meaningless to most leaders since they will not agree on their meanings. Each has his or her meaning.Hon Moses Kuria, the Gatundu South MP, has his different meaning of hate speech from what George Aladwa thinks. While i may define hate speech as incitement to cause violence, hatred or bad will, a politician may incite different political groups and argue that he or she is misinterpreted or utterances altered with and edited for malicious reasons.See,these leaders talk hatred yet they are free.Prosecutions are made  but still people walk freely. While others dare publicly that they have money to defend themselves.Or others are do not recognize this constitution? No.
Then this term corruption. To me, it is not being accountable of puplic funds; for this context.CORD’s meaning is different from Jubilee’s.Very wrong.Politics should not come here,i really hate politics while dealing with corruption and hate speech.Anne Mumbi Waiguru may or may not know or understand this simple meaning. It does not means everybody is against you.It simply means to be accountable.
They squander public funds, yet still walking free.
Corruption has been declared,by his excellence president, national security threat.Actually it is.This thing has threated us economically yet it is meaningless to some of our leaders. We common wananchi declared it long time ago when some high-profile personalities decline to step aside for investigation.Months ago some cabinet secretaries were forced to resign, corruptions claims. Then what happened? DPP knows.List of shame, what happened to it?You see how we define differently corruption?
At any time, leader should be good example of what should be done.
The office of director of puplic prosecution,is just but barking toothless dog.You just bark;order for prosecution only.Nothing else.
While supporting his excellence in fight against all these, let us define them correctly. If we keep on having different meanings of corruption and hate speech, then we are cheating ourselves that we are committed to end this vice.

Welcome POPE Francis;Revive church foundation of Kenya.

Read more by Onesmus
Pope Francis coming to Kenya, maiden visit, is at best timing when things are not on right way here Kenya. We must welcome you with both hands hoping that your diplomatic influence will revive the foundation of Kenya’s churches since it has taken royal food and accepted names given by the king.Churches foundation has lost.Yes,welcome the Bishop of Rome and the leader of worldwide catholic church.
                     Expectations
Apart from these expectations, among others, use of contraceptives and abortion we still expect also a revive on Kenyan catholic churches foundation. These two issues has also caused misunderstanding among many believers. So its our hope that, this worldwide  catholic leader will shade light on these issues.
Of lately, one wonders the position of Kenyan churches as far as their attention is concerned. All vices are now happening, government in government  out and society in their awareness. The worst in Jubilee government.Corruption? It is really tearing Kenya.Kenyans have been divided by this giant, corruption.Churches are seriously quiet. Some Kenyans do not know what is the direction to take because of confusion.Churches, please do not let this continue.May be they have been given royal food to silence them.We see their quotes only. They do not face the government with church face, most respected attention and voice.
Churches are still busy silence. They cannot dare talk bravely about the same.Papacy office is known for its defense of human rights.
Churches, just to remind you is that you have attention in any government and society.Let this papal visit be another turning point of you, churches. If you continue to keep silence, you are giving room to corrupt minds in the government.Remember that you have that moral authority to question any action taken by government or anybody.Kenyans have been divided by some vices in the government.
Looking forward to your maiden. For me this visit is not for Catholic
faithfuls but it’s for all Kenyans of all
walks of life. Muslims and Christians
alike visit,Pope of Hope.

how our hardworking teachers behave after hide and seek game of court rulings
Corruption scandal after scandal.

corrupt kenya

This has been most top stories in our local dailies, now international.
Look, fourty million Kenyans alleged to be corrupt.Thats is the picture of us,any Kenyan, internationally. Why now? should we? no im not corrupt, sure. What about our leaders? Most of them are tarnishing our good profile.Misleaders.Unfortunately or fortunately no one seems to hear the alarms and cries of innocent taxpayers about the same.Indeed, some people are joyriding us. Okey imagine this scenario. A common mwananchi is busy bargaining price of basic needs to be reduced in order to buy more for survival, while these misleaders are doing their procurrement by doubling the prices so that they can take or pocket more.Got it?Thats the essence now in corrupt Kenya.Nothing but prayer.

Kenyan education under threat!

Read more by this author Onesmus
It is now clear and without any doubt that Kenyan education is under threat.I know that my message may not land on the concern stakeholders’ ears or attention but anyway let me write it to relief pressure within me.Most of our secondary and primary schools mottos and visions are being blurrred by this current education crisis.
Confirmed KCSE exams leakage.I wonder how this happen if not only through KNEC officials who compromise their credibility for money. This is because leakage cannot happen through diffusion. This therefore means that KNEC is losing its credibility. Why deploy security personel to man leaked questions??Okey, as like always government behaviour, it does not seem to accept defeat even after the highest court in the land rule against them. So, the ministry still insist that exam has not leaked whereas some media houses proves the claims to be true. What kind of evidence do you want prof?I think these exams should be cancelled,my suggestion. What of the innocent hardworking?
See also what the KNEC officials had to say about leakage
Some parents buy these exams for their kids, while others are aware that their kids do have smartphones at school. Then, this education is really endangered.Teachers also do the same and ware of the same. The fate of KCPE still lies on the same same officials of this KNEC.May God protect us.
We have seen and heard of school kids being involved in shameful acts.Cases after  case of hundreds of students found drunk in different parts of Kenya.Eldoret.Kisumu.Nairobi.High school students found with bhang;illegal weed in Kenya. Such as been a pattern.Predictable one unlike elnino issue.May God forbid these death at the foundation of life, primary and secondary education.
See this motto

education for a bright future

.I do doubt that, this, and among others are not going to be true if this continues.
Fake promises in the education sector.Neither laptops nor tablet has been delivered.Promise is debt.Where are the promised goodies for this education sector?Examination fees only? But KNEC exams are being leaked.
What about ,higher education loans with  its bigger problems. Most of the bright students who are beneficiaries,of the peanut funds, do get their loans months after opening of the academic session.Others are forced to deffer their session just because they receive funds very late.
Again, most universities have been closed indefinately due to, mostly and among others, campus elections. Also, somes courses are considered fake after several years of enrollement and graduations. How can KUCCPS enroll students to join an unaccredited course? A big threat to future.Bitter.
Fees being raised anyhowly. What happened at TUM?Okey,Technical university of Mombasa.Quite unfortunate. Who cares for the new millenium?Haha.Teachers?NO.Parents?NO.Ministry of education?NO.Government?NO
To be short and clear,Kenyan education sector has been experiencing alot of problems but the concerned one seems hawajali {they dont care}.

Do you know these meanings of LIFE?

Read more by this author Onesmus
This question sounds unique.Actually its embarrasing for you to fail to define life apart from breathing in and out meaning, not being dead.

image

.
Many times, it isn’t the difficulty we’re experiencing that truly matters, but the meaning we’re able to give to whatever it is we’re going through.

What is the meaning of your life right now?  If you are hurting, what meaning could you possibly give to your sufferings?  If you are joyful, what meaning have you found in your happiness?

It could be that you’ve just lost someone you really loved, and this grief is saying that the meaning of your life right now is called LETTING GO.Let go.

It could be that you’ve been hurt so bad by someone who was supposed to protect you, and thus the meaning of your present days could be one of FORGIVENESS.There is power in forgiving.

It could be that you’re pursuing a dream, but its fulfilment seem so far away and the only word you could hold on to right now is PERSEVERANCE.

It could be that you have tried everything and everyone to solve a problem but every path still seems to be blocked.  If so, the meaning of your life at that moment is be called HOPE. Yes define your life this way.

It could be that you have spent your whole life trying to build something, but in one moment a catastrophe, set back happens and destroys everything you have ever built and invested in, my dear your life means to you STARTING OVER.

It could be that you are facing problems, big problems, that seem bigger than everything you are capable of and for the first time, you are being led out of your comfort zone.  If so, the meaning of your life could be one of ADVENTURE or of building greater STRENGTH.

It could be that all your life, you’ve always been the one giving and taking care of other people and now you feel tired and drained.  It could be time to ask yourself if time has come for the meaning of your life to change from GIVING to BEING ABLE TO RECEIVE.

It could be that your heart had been broken so many times before, but now a person comes, willing to prove to you that someone can still take care of your heart.  Afraid though you may be, the meaning of your life could now be LEARNING TO TRUST AGAIN.

It could be that you’ve always felt helpless and victimized and time has come when you have decided to claim power over your own life, and thus the meaning of your life now speaks of COURAGE and of FREEDOM.

Things may not always be the way you’ve always wanted them to be, but every experience could teach us something and could lead us into a far better place and a far better time.  What is the meaning of your life right now?  Could it be REFLECTION? Could it be CHANGE?  In spite of everything else, may it be one of WISDOM, and may it always be filled with FAITH.

Distressing and troublesomeness of campus elections

Read more by this author Onesmus
Campus elections? I mean the election of students governing council or any other name they may refer.More than four incidents have been seen and heard concerning the same. Most of them have resulted in closure of the institution indefinitely.Distressful.
Some months ago, Rongo university college students were victims of this.Students sufferred alot of threats.Community sufferred.Academic calender had to be adjusted.

Few weeks ago, JARAMOGI ODINGA university of science and technology, university students were other victims.Campus election, troublesome. It is now closed indefinately.
Almost the same week finance office of Maseno university was set ablaze.Reason, suspect on students’ union election and results of shortlisted candidates as others being barred and other issues.Death(s) as a result.Losing life, is another worrying issue here.A worry to parents and guardians on their expectations.A threat to investment therefore.
Much painful for independent institution to be closed just because of campus election.Okey.Learning could not continue as students could be *unmanageable due to high tension and chaotic campaigns.
When students are served with vacate notice within 30 minutes as late as five in the evening means alot. Many other institutions have experienced this problem.I remember while i was once a student, my worst experience was chaotic and tribalistic campaigns.
Implications
KUCCPS was meant to make sure that any admission represent whole Kenya. All tribes.Actually it did their role satisfactorily enough.
Where and when did this mess begun?Posing a great danger to this nation especially as we heal from the 2007 post-election violence. There is rot coming from our universities.Election violence.University aspirant(s) not willing to concede defeat,a bad picture to Kenya.
Universities being independent institutions does not figuratively means that such rot can be just let to rise.
It is just this week that IDPs are being resettled after the post-election of 2007.It is actually unseen danger.
There is a lot to  mould  these young energetic minds before they are turned to tribalistic minds through campus election and more so, bring glory of higher level of education.
This is indeed a wrong picture to this healing nation.
Could comrades be always right?
Maybe, maybe not. Then question is where is discipline of university students ?

Things undergraduate must do after 4th year graduation, number five is bitter one.

Read more by this author Onesmus

Graduation is always happy moments for all.

image

To job seekers,digital job seeking

For undergraduates, it is the happiest moment ready to “face” the world with that first degree.Of course it should.Yes to “face” the world. The following are things and activities an undergraduate must do; number five is a bitter shock to many undergraduates.
1.You must fit to your and our society. No matter what, society is waiting for you.Could it be ushago or not. You cannot run from it.This therefore means you have to be socially fit lest you will be rejected.Society cannot consider you as their product when you are a criminal or doing what society term as bad.A big misfortune.Your ways of doing things, seeing things and of course relating to the people will determine your fitness.
2.Be an entrepreneurer. You must have that source of income.Apart from that family income. In order to have it,being an entrepreneur is the best and the better option.Bear in mind that you will be at least twenty two years of age, most of your needs and requirements will be personal, therefore you must have that income in order to be independent.Being HELB beneficiary is another issue though many may not see this as a big problem.Im sincerely telling you that after graduation you do not have to sit.Try all ways of getting something in your pocket yourself before being in the list of payroll, God willing.
3. Updated. Yes after graduation you must be always updated.Being updated is not a guarantee of your career.Get every update.Politically.Economically.Career updates. In short do not be passed by news and events.
4.Learning should be aluta continua issue.Learning will never cease.Remember that the future of Kenya requires those who are ready in that you should know what is required of you, your career.Have you ever see these phrases in job advertisements, say CPA K is an added advantage or you must be registered with recognized proffesional body.In other words, you must be learned. Please check profiles various prominent Kenyans.People do have many qualifications. These qualifications come out of learning.
5.Be volunteer of your career. My friend, experience is part of life.I mean, you must have experience to be in Kenyan market.Yes before looking for job, volunteer first.Okey.Have you ever seen any job advert in our local dailies without a clearly stated job experience? I guess not.
NBDegree or any other certification is not such matter, what matters is output.

Otherwise, life is hard
Undergraduate, got the message?

MY CONCERN,OUR CONCERN AS 500 STUDENTS AT BAR IN ELDORET.

Read more by this author,Onesmus
Really what is wrong with our young teens?Reader, sorry for asking you this question because you may not correctly answer me.Yes im concerned.Lets count….1,2,3,4……200,201,202….400,401,402

image

How does this number rings in your mind? Can’t you imagine that there is something wrong somewhere?Parents, teachers(sorry for mention). That number of students caught in Sam’s Discotheque at night really worries me.As much as you people blame police for *sleeping_on_work, something must have gone wrong with parents’ and teachers’ role. These ages of teen ,yes thirteen, fourteen way to eighteen are still in need of the parental care .I blame you parents and teachers for this shock!.
It was just during closure of schools when another shameful incident occurred surrounding our school boys and girls.Teachers you have been with these teens at school.Discipline?Precautions?Guidance? This is opening, another shock;now the number has multiplied. My dear parents should we look things go the way it is doing? No.Show your concern on your boys and girls. As much as you are working or busy else where, have time with them.Much worry is that the shock was at weekend.God forbid any other timeNow,when is your time with these kids?Could these kids be emulating what some of you do during weekends?I don’t know.
Any Kenyan with goodwill and future oriented mind must have asked the same bitter questions.Well.I rest my concern here.Actually nothing is well at all.Vision 2030 is around or it has change to 3020?Our concern.
Let us not look at them as they perish.Period.
1. Check also this, how parents have failed on this issue
2. Another case in Kisumu involving school boys and girls.Check its really shocking

Being updated nowdays is at your hand.#smartphone.Talk of numerous applications related to news and information sharing.Reader, getting breaking news hours later is being overtaken especially considering that number of smartphones being used by Kenyans nowdays has increased rapidly.Take for example the rate at which TEACHERS’ STRIKE CALLING OFF reached different people. The first 10 minutes, hundreds of facebook accounts users posted about the same. This means thousands became aware during that period of ten minutes.Just an example otherwise they are very many breaking and important news reaching online people fastest.
Then these TRENDING TOPICS on twitter.Various analysts on hot topics such as corruption, patriotisms and any other issue raised. If you have a phone that can access internet and you get breaking news hours or days later, better have phone that cannot access internet.Period.
LEARNING
Those in higher education level require extra move as far as their learning is concerned.Researchers also.No much issue here.
LEISURE
You can be online for leisure.Update your social media accounts just for leisure.
It is not necessarily a continuous surfing.Just a matter of accumulation of minutes of information search online.

My message to Jubilee government and KNUT.

Read more by author Onesmus
We have been following your battle from one court decision to another court for appeal with much expectations.None seems to get satisfied.
Would you mind taking this?
1.Your battle has no benefit to ‘hostaged’ students and pupils.
A class one pupil do not know the meaning of strike neither government. Please uphold their innocence.Bear in your mind these kids.
Failure by any of candidate will first blame both of you.God forbid failure.Much time is wasted, much lost and less gained or im i wrong? No you know this.
2.Let this be an issue of parliament.
Parliament can be last option.I don’t say here mps salaries be cut by 50%, what can be done for long lasting solution for teacher’s strike? can be their motion. Not seeing anyone as the main cause.
Judicial authority is to simply show to parties involved which is best way to go.Mark my words, you both argue correctly. So, this court to court for best suit decision will not help.
Much have been said by NGOs,different personalities and fellow Kenyans.
Please Jubilee administrators and KNUT officials stop reminding each other; at meetings; to obey court order. You are aware that non is above the rule of land, the constitution. So reminding each other is a game of none importance to us.
Now that is my simple message to you.

ONE OF THE SERIOUS ISSUES MR. PRESIDENT REFERRED TO, MENACE AT SECONDARY SCHOOLS.

Read more by this author Onesmus
When Mr president told the world that we have other #serious_issues to deal with got it right.Yes so far some of the high school students have shown that there are #serious_issues in the education sector to be dealt with.

Several instances

  1. A boys’ school going to a girl’s school to have sex
  2. Students having sex on public vehicle service bus
  3. Several strikes because of mock exams.
  4. Unfortunate fire at Stephjoy secondary
  5. School girls sneaking out for a week
  6. Students found with bhang
  7. T.S.C v teachers at court

For real, we must do something on this.Parents you have a great role in this menace that have just come in to our secondary level of learning.Discipline in most of school is wanting.Deputy principals must do something also.I remember some years when you here that depa is around, you will not dare to mess up.How courageous those boys that they could have packets of condoms seriously going on a mission to a girls’ school? What about those having sex on public service vehicle?Bhang Then school girls sneaking for a whole week? isn’t a serious issue??Mocks making students to riot.It sounds funny but it is a serious issue.

On the other hand teachers are busy battling in the court. The president, you were very right that we have #serious_issues and #problems.

Humility in leadership is a core value.Despite political differences, lets all embrace unity, the unity of christ; for this context different political sides but one goal>unity.Differ to develop.Escape in terms of misinterpretation is common. On realization of the grave mistake, such misleaders start to claim on misinterpretation.Several lies cannot be truth.

This crackdown was as a result of the pain the central people of Kenya felt.It became unbearable for the country’s president and also its citizens.Actually it should continue periodically like monthly, but this is just a fight against the killer brews.I think the following measures should be considered if the fight is to be successful.

  1. Check on NACADA structure.RESTRUCTURE IT

  2. Check on chiefs.BE TOUGH ON THEM AS FAR AS THIS IS CONCERNED.

  3. Check on KEBs. FIGHT AGAINST COUNTERFEITS.

4.Check on civil education on alcoholism. EDUCATE PEOPLE ESPECIALLY YOUTHS

  1. Check on rehabilitation of drug addicts. LAY DOWN MEASURES OF REHABILITATION.

WHY BUYING MEAT AT ANY BUTCHERY IN KITERE HILLS,RONGO IS LIFE RISKING.

Read more by this author Onesmus
BUTCHERIES ARE UNHYGIENIC
They are wide open to every sort of dirt be it dust or flies.A recommended butchery should have glass windows to prevent flies from landing on the meat.
image

Generally, hygiene in any butchery should be of high standard but actually at Kitere hills, main market to Rongo University students, is very poor. That is why students who wish to take meat prefer ready made from university cafe to those from Kitere butchery.
THEY TRANSPORT LIKE SACK OF POTATOES.
I have witnessed meat being transported using bodaboda to the butchery several times.Imagine, meat put in chipsy container then of course full to brim, some hanging.Got it?No cover or if any, torn polythene.Meat is ready for transport to butchery. The dust of Kitere vicinity blowing all round.
To say, i think there is hygienic way of transporting meat.Unfortunately, not available in Kitere.
Once meat is mishandled hygienically, then consuming is like assuming cholera and typhoid.

Several questions arises without answers.Where are health officers? If they are there, what are their measures against cholera and any others disease that can be transmitted through this unhygienic way?
Comrades residing outside hostels depend mostly on the Kitere market for daily food.

MEANING OF KENYAN FREE PRIMARY EDUCATION

Read more by this author Onesmus
1.Many schools are still charging some fees
Most of the schools cannot afford maintainace cost, security and other
non staff payments. So this is burden of parent who was promised free
primary education.
2.Classrooms are congested e.g 100 pupils in one classroom.Enrollement
rose when the free primary education was implemented, thus the existing infrastructure
became limited.
3.Teachers have reduced assignments given to pupils due to large number.
This is because the number of pupils rose but teacher pupil ratio is wanting. If
earlier the number of assignments were ten question then it must be reduced .
4.Retired teachers struggle to be paid pensions.
Getting pension is a tedious process for these civil servants. It take years yet it is termed as
free education.
5.Most pupils walk barefooted, hungry to school.
This is an indication of thirst for education by these young ones
whose parents had nothing to pay before introduction of this.

image

This is just
but the “free education”  lack implementation force and support for
other considerations like suitability to all equally.
6.Every academic year there is fight between KNUT and TSC.
This has been like normal. At every end term you hear of looming
teachers strike,affecting mostly candidates
7.Teachers verses commuities fight
Teachers are seen as failing pupils when results are out, parents demanding
transfers of headteachers.
8.Understaff schools.
Almost each school is understaffed. You find a teacher taking almost all subject
in one class just because there “is no otherwise”
®Needless to say, most young ones of our politicians do not
step in these free primary schools.

We,Kenyans during this particular day are commemorating the day that our country attained internal self-rule.Everyone knows this.
I honour those who heroically struggled to bring freedom and justice to our land;yes by blood but not spoon;this is of course at times, our leaders currently, especially 1st June celebration;do not salute our heroes instead they are just but myopic mass of navel-gazers and solipsistic chest thumbing.
Before 1st June 1963, our mothers would be given maternity leave of just a month! bt now,our internal self rule give our mothers time and also fathers.Freedom of speech 52 years ago was different from now.
Dear fellow Kenyans let us not lose moral compass in our cross ethnicity.Yes,we have alot of diversities but presidency, our flag, our national languages and constitution bring us under one roof.

IMPORTANCE OF SLEEPING.

How long have you gone without sleep? or how long can you stay without
sleep? Most people feel asleep immediately after taking
lunch. What we do know is that it is unwise to ignore
our need for sleep. The negative side effects of
partial sleep deprivation have been observed in in
countless research studies and it is safe to
assume that these would only be worsened by
prolonged total sleep deprivation.
INSOMNIA
is a sleep disorder in which there is an inability to fall asleep or to stay
asleep as long as desired.
Symptoms of insomnia:

Difficulty falling asleep, including
difficulty finding a comfortable sleeping

Feeling unrefreshed upon waking
daytime sleepiness , irritability or anxiet
Difficulty initiating sleep.
Difficulty maintaining sleep, characterized by
frequent awakenings or problems returning to
sleep after awakenings.
Early-morning awakening with inability to
return to sleep.
DEMENTIA
While symptoms of dementia can vary greatly , at
least two of the following core mental functions
must be significantly impaired to be considered
dementia:
*Memory
*Communication and language
*Ability to focus and pay attention
*Reasoning and judgment
*Visual perception.

CORRUPTION,DISEASE WITHOUT CURE BUT PREVENTABLE

Read more by this author Onesmus
Corruption is a human social aberration that
exists from antiquity like prostitution. When we
discuss seriously about what must be done to
stop or hinder it we need to understand why it is
such an old institution.Got it? it has been there
since but now we feel because of devolution.
In one part it is built in human psyche as a
survival trait – I shall talk about it later. In the
other part it goes on due to lack of public
awareness, inefficient governance, lack of
education, poverty, unjustified aspiration etc. It is
practically meaningless to talk about stopping it
in societies where there is no or low regard for
basic honesty in our country.
In a personal level, following some simple rules like
never jumping a queue, (even if it is unmanned), never abusing a
system meant for people. I think it
encourages others.
But in the part where a human aberration is
concerned, corruption can only be fought by
seeking and ensuring complete transparency in
every aspect of life.
Transparency is one way to prevent
corruption.
Corruption grows best at dark and shady places
and where the ‘power of decision’ is concentrated
in just a view individuals.
By eliminating the growing conditions for
corruption, it will therefore decline accordingly.
Transparency towards the public, ‘power of
decision’ towards the public, the majority of the
people. This would be a good start to fight
corruption and ‘direct democracy’ a good choice
to get it going.
MTU WA WATU SYNDROME is another pillar of corruption.
Thats why most people cannot be prosecuted yet found
guilty.Allies,by all means frustrate process of the law taking
its course. The bad
outnumbers the good. The world is decaying and
is destined to become worst just because of this syndrome.
One persian poet and scholar Sheikh Saadi said
Countries are strengthen by laws
knowledge is strenghten by debate
and morals of childern by strict training
we need strict anti corruption/accountability laws,
knowledge, education and awareness and moral
training plus handsome salaries.
Let’s threathen the dignity of culprits by revealing
their malpractices in national media. To me,corruption should be considered as two
dimensional: High level corruption done at a
higher level of the country, by people in charge
( Govt…) and corruption done by the common
citizen ( policeman, teacher, nurse…), all these
fellow who are being given meagre fare to survive
and who engage in this activity for the sake of
survival. I strongly believe that corruption should
be rooted out first from the higher level; minimal
wages adjstustment will follow after redirecting all
the flow of corruption from official, so that lower
class could benefit from it. Punishment
will be non other than public humiliation, under a
well advertised communication.
